Ok so I have some fire gobys that always are under rocks and I don't see them too often, well last nite they were out and I was awake.got to looking at them and a couple don't look good.with this in mind was wondering if anyone has had any luck treating fin rot?and is this going to ruin my tank?I can't get a pic up cause they are back in hiding.but from what I see the back fin on one of them looks almost gone.any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi!
Anything in tank that might be picking on them?
Can you move to a QT?
I found this lil' note in another thread posted by @Humblefish.
Two options (assuming it is just fin rot):
  1. Treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic such as Kanaplex or Furan-2.
  2. Treat with a natural remedy i.e. Melafix. I've had pretty good luck lately using Melafix for minor infections. It seems to be more fast acting than using standard antibiotics.
Someone will come along with a lot more experience than me to chime in

I don't think anything is picking on them I may be wrong but I got to looking at my tang and his top dorsal fin is looking bad too I'm not really sure how to catch these guys I got so much rock for them to hide and I don't have a quartine tank set up rt now.would u happen to know if this is going to ruin my display?

Sounds like you might have a lingering bacterial infection in your tank. One "reef safe" strategy is to food soak a broad spectrum antibiotic (such as Kanaplex), using a binder (such as Seachem Focus) to prevent the med from leaching out.

I went and picked up a 10 gallon tank airstone hang on back filter and api pimafix it says it treats fungal infections on body and fins .hope this works but I still have to catch the fish.I'm going to look into your suggestion also thanks
