29 gallon long tank pretty much stocked to capacity..
I have lots of live rock all water parameters are the good and I do weekly water changes so I keep it really clean.
If I were to get one more fish it needs to hold me over till I do an upgrade next year.(should've started off bigger!)
Does anybody else have another opinion on a good tank mate that is a very peaceful fish?
My one choice would be:

Pajama cardinal
Striped cardinal
Ruby red dragonet (when my tank is more established)

Anyone have a suggestion of the fish that's not going to hide in the sand forever and a peaceful and reef safe?
I already have:

clowns
Midas Blenny
Orchard dotty
Roysl gramma
Yellow watchman ( Who never ever comes out :(

6 fish in a tank that size is pretty heavy...and this is the guy who has 5 in his biocube lol
But what does your set up look like?
Do you have any fts?

Well, that's why I'm still undecided. There are so many opinions its crazy..
I had someone tell me no more than 3. Really? Why bother! I don't get that at all! So, I
did a lot of research and if I'm willing to do the "Weekly" water changes and keep the tank clean and the parameters all in check, I should be able to have another small fish.
When you look at my tank you would only think I have 2 clowns! Everyone claims their territory and pretty much hangs out in there own little corner...

I am leaning toward a pajama. Next year I will upgrade to a much larger tank so if I get a baby it will be a long time before he is big and the new tank will handle them..and If my bio load goes up an I can't control it I ill get another small tank going in the mean time.
I also have an acquaintance who cleans & sets up and maintains tanks and he told me water changes are key to having a heavy stocked tank.
So that's where I'm coming from..

If it was me I'd upgrade to a larger tank first b4 adding anything else. Instead of putting that money into a fish Id plan for what size tank I want and start buying items like a larger heater, another pump ... Then start prepping that tank. Then when it's all set up you'll thank yourself when your doing less work.

Go to petco and get ur self a 40b for 40bucks next weekend ;).. Or grab your lonely watchman whom you never see a pistol shrimp pal and u might find he's put all the time.. I agree with the clowns fully stocking a 20.. Maybe with the goby.. Wouldn't push your luck

I had a pajama cardinal and it was a very boring fish. It wasn't really an active swimmer.

Does it hide? Or levitate in the middle?

They tend to pick one area and hover, rarely swimming around unless they are being fed. I have a Pajama and a Bangaii and both aren't very active swimmers. They are still cool fish though.

Thanks! I think that will be my choice if I decide to get
another but still deciding on ha..
