Final nail in coffin for Dinos?

Ive been fighting dinos since the start of February. At that time my no3 and po4 both had dropped to 0. Ive got a green killing machine uv in the tank, stopped water changes, stopped skimmer, and been dosing brightwell neonitro and neophos. No3 up to 10, and po4 at 0.05. Ive also been sucking out what I can from the sand with a filter sock, then replacing the water back. I think its on its way out, because the sand would be covered by mid day, and now it can go almost all day and I only see a few spots here and there. Ive still been sucking up that sand with those spots. Ive been doing this once a day for about a week now. I can see an improvement. Also from the nitro and phos dosing, Ive got a few patches of green hair algae growing. My question is what can I do to really nip this thing in the bud. I was reading about h202 dosing, but Im worried it might hurt my corals or fish. Tank is a 40 breeder with just soft corals, but Ive got some big leathers that Ive grown from tiny frags and I would hate to loose them. Its looks like my crabs and snails are munching on the green hair algae so I assume thats not an issue? Just want to be done with this stuff, and not be scared to look into my tank in the mornings.

In my experience a blackout does wonders and in quick time. However if the situation that led to their explosive growth is not addressed they just quickly come back. In your case you addressed the root issue. I would try a 2-day blackout now that you got them "on the ropes".

Sounds like you are so close. I would give everything more time. I wouldn’t consider any changes.
