Tank: 40 Breeder Sumpless
Age: 7 months

Filtration: Sicce Shark Pro 900 Running Phosguard changed weekly and carbon changed 2 to 3 weeks. Filter pads rinsed occasionally. Good bit of pods in there.

Skimmer:Tunze 9004 Skimmer

Water Changes: 12 percent weekly like clockwork

Rock:22 pounds Live rock from 8 year old tank; plus Life rock cave, arch, and 10 lb box asst.

Sandbed: 40lbs

Current numbers: Phosphate .1 Nitrates .05-.10

Current Fish:
Possum Wrasse (real jerk to challengers who persist and can’t better him). He has killed semi aggressive fish but leaves goby alone.
Striped Fang Blenny
Harptail Fang Blenny
Yellow “coris” Wrasse
Randalls Goby

Wish List to finish fish stocking:
Court Jester Goby
Tailspot Blenny
Single or pair of True Percula.

Always wanted the Court Jester Goby. Can’t believe I am saying this about the clowns because I swore no clowns but close to wild, picasso, or onyx has been calling me.

What do yall think?

Thanks for the help.

I would just be carful with all the goby and blenny additions, if I am not mistaken both can get aggressive towards others with similar body shapes. Also seems like a lot of fish for a sumpless 40 but then again I "try" stock lightly haha.

Yeah I worry about the striped blenny looking similar to court jester goby.

The fang blenny’s hangout more at that surface and are best buds. They were in the same tank at the quarantine place. My understanding is that the fang blennys are pretty much in a different category than the bigger perching blennys.

Tailspot was more of an afterthought for additional algae control as I’ve already learned my baby Tang lesson.

No other thoughts?

Anyone ever kept a Court Jester Goby with a Striped Blenny?

Any comments on possible clown addition?

How about some guidance on additional fish numbers. I figured 8 nanoish fish would be about overstocked. But not 6 or 7.

Surely I can do more than 5 with good rockwork and 46 gallons in a 3 foot tank.

Giving the Court Jester goby a shot. He is small and has a pinched belly but he is quarantined. Wasn’t gonna pass when he was 15 bucks.

Already saw him picking at algae.
