Put in a couple soft corals. A waving hand Anthelia and a long polyp Green star Polyp. This is my first time buying on line and was nervous if they would survive. Everything went great thank you WWC. After a dip and observation time I placed them on a rack in my DP tank. Think I’ll give it time to get used to my water before gluing them to a rock. Pretty excited to continue my adventure. Still lots to learn.

Isn’t that the greatest feeling ? Congrats on your fist corals. :)
This says it all!
Getting your first coral is the best feeling ever! If I had the chance to go back to having a bare rock scape I would take it. I miss the feeling of having my first coral in the tank.

Congrats on the new corals. Unfortunately, it means that you are now succumbed to more corals, LOL!!! :face-with-tongue: :cool::beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Lol, it’s so funny, I used to have no fascination with coral and never understood the obsession with them. Then I bought my first coral. Then another. And another, and another…..and a couple thousand bucks later, I’m sure you know where it went.

This was me several years ago (My earliest documentation of coral is from 2011), I now cant imagine a tank without it.

Amazing feeling .

you’re not one of us ….

be mindful where you glue them .
most soft corals including the gsp and Kenya have potential to take over .

I Still get that same feeling when I walk out of a lfs with a few bags of corals .
When I make it to my vehicle is when buyers remorse sets in . And I feel guilty for spending $100’s again .

Lol, every time I go to the lfs I tell myself “I won’t buy more corals”, “I won’t buy more corals”, and then I somehow check the receipt and I spent over $200….

Oh man, I had to try convince myself when I bought the clam that a 2 inch specimen for £45 was good as it would have some beautiful colours. Now I don’t have to convince myself (A week later) but oh the guilt in the first couple days was intense.

But the absolute worst is when you buy something and it dies for some reason a week later (for example my $200 wall hammer aka brown jelly magnet)

Definitely, I would hate to lose another branching hammer to BJD. So far my second attempt is going strong (I’m not having it on the rockwork again though! That thing gets to the size of a baseball when it wants to).

no one:
wallet: and so it begins… :smiling-face-with-tear:
Literally haha.
I had a £150 per head torch… 2-3 heads and it died within 2 weeks. I’m so glad I changed my mind on the gold torch I would’ve had.

I get that same guilt feeling minutes after leaving the store .
and need to think of different excuses why I needed it .
“ it was calling he asking me to rescue it from the crappy lfs water “

“ please help “

Congrats!!! Welcome to being addicted to crack... I mean coral... I mean hobby of collecting coral, its not an addiction... We could quit if we wanted to. Anyway I need to go pawn all my stuff to buy more coral, talk to you later! :p
You mean to tell me after all these years you still have stuff left to pawn ?

I was considering working on my neighbours inventory
