after about 7 months my PPE's finally sprouted 3rd polyp lol god they grow slow!!!

No joke. I started with a 2 and a 3 polyp frag last fall and only have 3 and 5 so far.

Armageddon is slow for me. Started with 1 and it's been like 6 months and now i have 3 polyps
At least you have them growing. From what I understand they are one of the hardest to keep long term much less grow. I could be wrong in that, but I have read several threads where pple have a hard time with them.
I am always nervous about them. I had a small colony taken from a display at one of the LRS that were doing awesome, only to perish within a couple weeks after fragging and moving to my tank.
I almost think drip acclimating and light intensity duplication (or lower starting them out) is a must for them.
I started with a colony of 4 Nov. 9th that are now 13 and doing well. The local that fragged them lost his part. I notice they do like to be fed often. I feed 2-3 times a week now. Very finicky zoanthid no doubt.

i have mine up high on a frag rack and they love the light with medium flow but who knows one way works good for some but not for all

I fragged my armageddons like a month ago and they are still living so let's hope they start growing. I also read that once you frag them it's all over. So i was pretty scared to frag them but i had my bandsaw out one night and was like ok let's cut it up. But you know something it's one of the corals i don't even pay attention to so i think that's why it's still living. I haven't touched it ever since i fragged it.

Yea, I have to frag mine up very soon and am not looking forward to it at all. any hints/tips?

Well i just look for the polyps with the most space between them and cut it up. I just frag them like any other zoas and pray they don't melt away.

I haven't had any kind of growth rate with PPE's, either... Frags that started as three polyps two years ago are still three polyps...
