I have been dripping kalk to raise my Ph. It was 8.1 this am and is 8.77 now. i spot checked the probe with 7.0 cal soln and it is right on. i have stopped dripping kalk until i figure out how to set the apex to control the aqualifter.

A little high and definitely a larger jump than you'd normally want in a day. Probably want to hold off on the kalk for a little while like you said.

Using an Aqualifter full time to add Kalk is not the proper way to do it as you see by your very high PH. You would be better off Dripping small amounts like a gallon or less a night by gravity fed methods. JMO
It's pretty easy to make a home made jug that works very well with stuff you have laying around.

Bill, I'm currently gravity feeding fresh water via ATO. I've seen where people add Kalk to their ATO but nobody explains how much Kalk to put into your ATO. Currently my Alk goes down 2dkh every 3 days and I lose about 1/3 gallon every day in evap. So how do you figure how much Alk to add to my ATO container?

Good deal Bart. Notice any effects on the corals?

Ph wouldn't be a big deal. It's the alk. If it moves 2kh in 24hr then sps mostly acro's will stress out. And may die. But it will take a day or 2 before you see anyeffects Best bring it down slow.

Using Mrs Wages Pickling lime it takes 2 tsp per gallon for it to be at saturation levels, This is the formula I have used for many years. I'm not a fan of using your topoff to add it though. I prefeer to drip it in a jug sized so that if it all got dumped in it would still do no major harm JMO
