I started with 10 lbs. of live rock but filled in the rest with base rock to save a few bucks. Just put that base rock in last night. Actually starting to look like a reef.

On to the next project; building a sump to replace the HoB.

Fyi. U will not be able to clean that glass on the sides very well when u tank gets establish. no room to scrap between the rocks. might want to give lil extra room to clean glass if you can ur tank from the sides. just opinion but better to adjust now instead of down road
 
20 Gallon. Thought it would be a nice manageable size to get started in the hobby with. They are actually green, but yeah just aquarium rocks. I figured fish in the ocean like gravelly substrate why not in a tank. I may need to bring them in off the walls though, that's a good point. Can't wait to keep building.
