I've been lurking on this forum for a while now, and have even contributed to a few of the threads as well as create my own... but I don't actually introduce myself in the meet and greet thread. So, here's me.
I've been in the hobby for a little over two years now and have accumulated a plethora of information, and still have about as much to learn still.
I started out with a 30 gallon fresh water tank that lasted for a mere two months before I was hooked into reefing. I began with a 15 gallon Fluval Felx about a month into my fresh water ventures, then decided it wasn't big enough, I ended up selling it and repurposing my 30 gallon fresh to saltwater... this was an absolute disaster. I'd drilled it to accept some drains and returns, however failed miserably in the locations and didn't account for drain back into my sump. Yes... I electrocuted myself with the help of a faulty GFCI the first time my sump flooded.
I then moved onto a 55 gallon three months later that was tempered and undrillable, I had an awful looking contraptions of siphons and returns hanging all over the place.
When I finally got tired of lookinf at the eye sore, I shut everything down and let patience play it's ever crucial role in the hobby.
I searched and saved and searched and saved until I could finally do what I wanted with what I had available to me within my means.
I built, from scratch and the help of the King of DIY my 450 gallon display, 150 gallon sump, and it's stand.
I then concluded that because I currently rent, I didn't not want to juggle such a large tanks livestock between moves. I opted for a more reasonable project that was a 75 gallon display with a 55 gallon sump with all the bells and whistles I could think of.
I have finally hit the point in my abilities with the hobby that I can keep some complicated SPS and keep them happy and growing at that.
Here's my 600 gallon system.
Here's my 130 gallon system.
