Hi I'm Taylor, and I have been in the reef hobby on and off for the last 8 years. Somehow I have just avoided signing up on Reef2Reef until now! I love all the information I've gained from the forums and hope to learn more now that I'm more active. I think the thing that pushed me to join were the BRS TV videos always telling me to join the conversation on YouTube. Another reason I'm getting more involved is that I want to really up my fish husbandry game. My fiance and I absolutely adore our fish and name them and give them all their own personalities, but I've had some recent deaths in my current tank that have concerned me because I have been unable to identify the problem. So I will be taking in all the advice I can from this point forward.

From the beginning to currently here is my tank history!

First tank was a 29 gallon biocube while living with many friends in college. It survived more moves than it frankly should have. It was also more successful that it should have been, maybe it was because you can just water change such a large volume on a 29 gallon.

One of the many times I restarted the cycle on this thing.

My longest thriving fish pet.

Second tank after a short break from the hobby was my attempt to go all in with a huge (for an apartment) 90 gallon tank w/ sump setup, but I got a little ahead of my own skills, so I learned a lot and got into LPS corals (killed some SPS), but I always felt like it could have been better and in the end it started crashing really badly. It was also a miracle I actually got all the fish out of this tank without killing them when I tore it down, including one fish just disappearing until I saw him fall out of a rock randomly after emptying the tank (I still have that one).

My favorite coral the Trachyphilia. RIP fox the foxface.

I made so many poor decisions like buying polyps and GSP that became weeds everywhere!

Ricordea have become my favorite coral. I'm trying to blend out my current tank with orange blue and greens. Still looking for a good blue one, which I know I've seen before.

Third and current tank is a Reefer 250 (65 gallon) with Hydra 26 HD light. I got this tank spur of the moment, literally while beginning to move my old tank after I bought a house was moving, and had that realization that I just need to start over. I really wanted to have a show tank, something that I could keep looking clean and beautiful. I really liked the rimless look of the reefers and I wanted something in the sweet spot for size where I could hand clean the tank, but it was still big enough to absorb some of the times I get lazy and keep at least one larger fish. Also trying some SPS in this tank, but battling Alk depletion.
