Hey guys so just looking for some advice on setting up my new tank. I've been in the hobby a few years and know what I am doing but I just would like some input from the collective knowledge here.
Currently my tank is a 16 gallon tank with hang on the back filter with eBay LED, live rock, and no sand.
I would like to start with a clean slate so to speak.
I purchased 20lbs of Carib-Sea Arag Alive Special Grade Reed Sand.
I have an RODI filter of course and could do 100% new water. What percent of the old water should I use in the new system?
If I plan to use new dry rock from Marco rocks for instance it would be best for me to use at lease one piece of seed rock correct?
I am assuming because I will be using dry rock and new water I will experience a cycle?
It's been a while since I've set up or transferee a tank so any input would be appreciated !
