Finally ready for water!

First time sump, largest tank ever, and lots of DIY involved here. How did I do? I feel a huge sense of accomplishment in drilling the back, doing the plumbing, making the light mount, building the small satellite cabinet for my power and controllers.

Now I just feel like this thing will burst when I fill it with water. I guess we’re all paranoid whenever we set up a new tank for the first few hours. I leak tested all the plumbing as well as I could and took every precautionary step I reasonably could.

Wish me luck on my journey into more than doubling the size of my current reef!!!

Yeah I have been hearing the stories… sometimes it pays off to be poor and unable to buy a $3000 RR tank
