Since I was little the emperor angel has been my all time dream fish and the reason I wanted a saltwater tank! Tried two juveniles over the years, one had a severe case of ich I didnt notice in the store, died in QT. Tried a few months later with another juvenile, it died two weeks later, no obvious sign of illness. Then I tried to purchase an emperor angelfish juvenile 3 more times from different online vendors, each called me and told me that their batch of juvenile emperors were not looking good and they were not going to ship them. I thought that was the universe telling me this fish just wasnt in my cards. But yesterday violet aquarium announced their labor day sale, and what do you know half off adult emperors that were 5-6 inches!!! Wow. I figured this was maybe the time I could get one. Well she came today!!! Named her Cleopatra. Fitting in nice to the tank and already boss fish lol. Dream fish! Super happy with her. She just fit in so well with the other fish. (Still need to get that orange lens to get the glare off the glass lol)
she already is swimming around and picking at my rocks. The tangs seem to like her too! My puffer wont leave her side lol I think he found the love of his life
