so i just got home from school and was melting the frozen food to feed my tank and to my surprise my female clown dives straight in to my green bubble anemone this is the first time shes ever done it and after feeding shes done it like 2 or 3 more times :D this is great i love it, i wonder if my male willl follow.

Watching that happen is great to see. I don't like anemone's because the clown fish seem to never swim around much after that, they just stays in the nem all the time, haha.

some pictures!

I wish my clowns would find my nem. I have a picture of clownfish in anemone's taped to the side of the tank close to the nem hoping they get the point!!

Interesting how many generations of captive-breeding can dull the instinctual behavior of anemonefishes to find an anemone... I wonder if those "stubborn" fish would quickly find an anemone if introduced to a wild reef, or if they would maintain their independence (and succumb to the consequences!)....

My two are in with two Chrysiptera parasema (yellow tail damsels). I am kind of hoping that as they all get a little older/larger the damsels will drive the clowns into the nem.

thanks :D hopefully this helps them start to lay eggs soon, just wondering if they do lay eggs what are the chances some of the eggs will end up having designer clown markings of some kind
