Always use an isolation tank to keep new inhabitants under observance I do 10 215 days looking for disease and pests it is the only way you can protect your expensive and beautiful corals without having to worry I've seen too many people buy a piece throw it in their tank and then they get a massive Coral die off isolation is the most guaranteed way of not transmitting diseases or pests to your tank people on this site are either poorly informed and not correct fax but they love to call me stupid in a fool I'm far from that and I've been doing this for 17 years and I've enjoyed every minute of it I hope you do too always ask for information or if you're given information Google it it will not steer you wrong that's my second best tool to acquire parameters for Water and Light and any other facts or information thrown my way I always keep an open mind I in my 17 years still learn things I have not but if you winter clothes minded it will hinder you Google is your best friend not even your Coral dealer will give you as much information as Googlethank you been at it for a year now moved 4 times grrr not fun i up graded on one of the moves i been at it for a year after i failed 15 years ago at salt water i gave up cause from what i was reading was to have a proper set up and it all cost alot back then until i dyi everything cut cost down to a 3rd i read for 15 years befor i atempted again not doin to bad i built pvc over flow to home made filter socks down threw trickle filter diy protien skimmer and algea scubber it pays off to do research and thanks
