I need to raise my Alk and I guess that means also Calcium as well. So I was hoping to make my 2 part solution.
I live in Sri Lanka. I can find Baking soda for Alk part and also epsom salt from pharmacies, although can't find Calcium cloride.
I tried the drug store (pharmacies) and a hardware store near me and no one has it. Tried to find products with it, and can't think of anything also.
Any ideas how I can get this ,(Mayeb comes as major product)?

Don't know about Sri Lanka, but in addition to being an ice melter here in the states, calcium chloride is also used to speed hardening of concrete especially in cold weather. I get mine from redimix companies. But then you don't have cold weather there.

Magnesium chloride is the hard to find stuff. I get mine from a local industrial chemical supplier who ships it in from another location but doesn't charge for shipping.

Best of luck

Try Amazon? I've never been to Sri Lanka so I'm not sure what your options are. In the states you can buy CaCl as pickling solution.
I thought that was pickling lime like Mrs wages. Used for kalk. Not calcium chloride used in the improved diy two part.

If I ordefr in from Amazon, with the deleivery charges over here, it would be way cheaper to do large water changes.
I contacted the pool suppliers and chemical stores today morning and even they don't have Cacl2.
These are the once they have for Pools in Sri Lanka,

So far I have checked All major super markets hardware stores and some pharmacies and swimming pool chemical companies. No one got Cacal2.
We also don't have cold weather or horse tracks in Sri Lanka. So those stuff are out.
I also can't seem to find a list of Dowflake distributors :(

I ran my tank with little water changes as its only few months old. Also it got little no3 or phosphates but my corals started to shrival up.
I did a large 20% water change and they again starting to come back up. Got a Alk checked. Got Alk register at 6DKH after water change. (Can not measure decimal points).
I started to dose the baked baking soda little by little for the past day. My Saltwater also only seems to have alk around 7-8 anyway.
I guess have to go with a bit high water changes every 2 weeks here on out or 10% each week, if can't find cacl2.
