Thank you for your help!
on biota's website you can get yellow tangs, marine bettas and royal grammas. It looks like royal grammas and marine bettas are out of stock right now, so you'll have to wait until they're available again. I haven't seen captive-bred flame angels for a while. Occasionally they come in from bali aquarich, if I remember correctly.

Thank you! I looked on biota's website and it looks like the tangs are out of stock too. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right spot.

Biota is the source. Buy direct when you can. Also look at their portal to see what food they are feeding and keep some on hand. If you don't have it order it ahead of time along with other high quality foods such as LRS. The LRS Reef Frenzy NANO is utterly amazing sauce and I can't recommend it enough. Why food and LRS nano blend (frozen) is because the fish come in on the smaller side of things so it is nice to have what they are known to eat plus quality frozen in small form factor. I have several Biota fish and this is my routine.

  • Yellow Tang - hot item. Add notify me when in stock.
  • Flame Angel - isn't captive bred or raised to my knowledge or at least not by Biota - I recall a few articles a few years back but not sure of the status.
  • Marine Beta - hot item. Add notify me when in stock.
  • Royal Gramma - another hot item and you just missed them as I saw them in stock just the other day. Add notify.

If you haven't seen the trend - use the notify me when in stock as it helps. Also check back frequently if they are raising those fish they go quick. Same with their corals.

Lastly - email Biota via their portal to let them know what you are looking for. Ask if they have any eta as sometimes they can let you know so you can be ready.

Flame angels are bred in Thailand but can't ship over there unfortunately...

Didn't know the source - thanks. I recall reading about it a while back but haven't seen anything recently. I do know a few have pairs that are doing things but never seen them raised in home aquaira.
