Hello all,

My Fluval ego 13.5 is modified with a Accel Aquatics Nano RFG head. However beyond that, and an inTank chamber 2 media basket + plug, there are no modifications to flow.
What is a good way to figure out if my flow is good throughout the tank or if dead spots exist?

Thank you.

Shine a light at night and see if particles blow around or stay put, sink.
Through the day could get an airline hose attached to air pump/ bubbler and put the bubbles in different spots and see if straight rises or floats around some.
When you feed aslong as dont target feed each individual fish ,you can get a gauge on your flow.
Basically anything that floats around in tank is my opinion.

Dead spots are very hard to have... Dead spot means no flow, right ;)

Low flow zones, thats another thing, so i assume we can call it "dead"....

Turn your pumps, return..... Then feed, slightly more than usual. Allow uneaten food to settle to bottom.

When you power on pumps, observe, and you will see (if there is any) areas where food stays on sand/bottom. Or maybe being little lifted from sand, but generaly, wiggle in same area constantly......
