Fine to feed tangs?

It is thought that roasting of nori destroyes the vitamins, outside of that it would be acceptable and you could soak it with supplemental vitamins.

I have always bought at the oriental market.

Never had an issue. If my tangs colors are off (very rare) I will soak in a little watered down garlic guard first.

Interesting. Could I ask you to elaborate? I had thought of store bought to be “fit for human consumption”. What are your concerns?

Should be fine though I also look for unroasted. Been using this one for a couple years now. Oddly more of my fish eat this than the aquarium branded stuff. Just an observation in my own tank. Theres never any of this left after a couple of hours where the aquarium brands will only be half eaten in double the time.

Im not cave man but, "fit for human consumption" Is not indicative of safe for fish. Think pork chop.

Some are basted, some are exposed to woods as part of drying process
I buy reef specific such as SFB, sprung and similar

Fully agree. Plus I do not believe they grow fish vs human nori in different oceans. But outside of this?

Put some in an took it out, wasn't holding together at all! Anything to worry about if there were any ill affects?

It will all fall apart after a bit. My suggestion is to tear into smaller pieces and see how fast they consume it.

In my case, I can put in 4 half sheets and it's literally gone in 3 to 4 minutes. This happens at least twice a day.

I have a 12" blonde naso, 3 yellows, a mimic, a scribbled rabbitfish and a yellow bellied regal. The smallest of which is 5". All are in an 8 foot 240.
