Put this big colony of finger leather in last night. All of its skin is peeling off and getting everywhere in my tank. I cleaned it with cleaner then rinsed it in tap water before putting into tank. Here is a picture. All of that floating debris is the peeled skin.

Call it shedding as it as well as most leather coral have a film on their surface and requires good water movement to keep it loose

It looks like he’s laying down on another coral.
Kinda looks like bubble coral a bit, and if so, will try and kill it. The leather may then use its defense and release its Turpins.
I would think that’s going to be a problem for one, the other, or both.
I’d separate them.

Can you get a pick of it under whites and like stated above separate those two corals.

I've never seen mine do that, but it was much smaller than that when I got it. It did at times layover early in the day first few months, but it hasn't done that in over 2 years.

I'd be worried about what it's laying on. It can get stung etc.

It reminds me of when mine melted.

I moved it away from the hammer. It fell down when I took the pictures. Also, @sfin52 you say yours melted?? What do you mean

Hammers can extend their tentacles out and sting corals near by. It may be what has upset it to start with.
