Anyone have details on this light? I know the PAR and LUX, but it seems a bit of red, and I would like to see the light on an actual tank. Google brings absolutely nothing except a video showing off a few Finnex fixtures, and not really on the tank shots, just the light themselves and the legs.

Email from Finnex:

Hi Beverly,
Sorry for the late response. These numbers are the light at MAX. The PAR value is 40 and Lumen value is 1530. Hope this help.
Howard

This is at 19 inches above the sub.

Spectrum pic attached. I just want to see it on a tank, LOL

I run the Finnex 24/7 on my piranha tank and have found a few issues with it...not sure if the Marine model has fixed those or not. The first, which really isn't an issue but more of a lack of features is that the 24/7 mode is not programmable.....it starts at 6am and runs until 8 or 9 at night. It doesn't totally shut off either...the moonlight mode is pretty bright for moonlights. It can be shut off early with a timer and then turned back on in the morning though, which I had to do on my planted tank to avoid algae growth. Also, when the lights changes intensities the fixture flickers (does this on both of mine). Again, these issues might have been corrected with the marine model, which would make this post totally worthless :)

Yeah I have the freshwater version and personally I like it. This is why I was looking into the marine. Good question on fixing the flicker, and the newer fw version now shuts off for a period of time. I think they fixed the flicker in it but unsure.

I have this light. It's growing my clove polyps nicely. Currently battling dino. Vibrant works great . Was far worse

Do you have it on the 24/7 setting? It does look pretty nice. Wondering if it will grow macros too.

Yes, it goes really dim at around 12 am then shuts off completely at 3 am. Starts again at 6am. I really like it but I'll be buying an ai prime hd or kessil because I want to keep more demanding coral.

Nice. I am still starting out. I was thinking for an anemone, macros and some polyps. Should be good for that right? I've also looked at the black boxes but they seem to keep going up in price before I can secure my cash.

Is this light bad or good for a 90 reed I have the size that fits obv

I never did try one out, I went a different direction with my setup. I don’t think it would grow any higher light corals, would would be ok for some of the lower light ones I’m sure.
