Does anyone use this controller? I am using it as a fail safe in case my heater gets stuck on. Right now I had the controller set to heat to 81 and the heater dialed in to 78. Everything was was good for a week and right before bed I checked the controller and it read 78 but the heating was off. I unplugged the unit and it started working again. Is this a piece of garbage?

I can't find any reference to this controller. Are you sure you have the part number correct?

Sorry its HC-810m
Ah, got it. The only real complaint I have ever seen with those is that they often aren't accurate. It isn't uncommon for them to be up to a few degrees off.
Of course, that doesn't mean you didn't get a bad one. I'm just not aware of it being a common problem.
