Ok so i have an issue im trying to figure out. How far below the waterline does the heater need to sit. I cant lay it down as its too long and none of my chambers can house it diagonally because of the equipment in my sump.

They usually have a mark. Can you get all of the glass submerged?

Unfortunately i cant get it fully submerged and it dosent have a mark on it for water level. All it says is that it can be fully submerged. But dosent list a min water depth.

You need all of the glass to be underwater. The plastic on top doesn’t need to be.

It is? It looks like just the part below the LED is the actual heater element.

The whole thing is one glass tube.

Oh that’s a different version than I saw. Sorry, can’t help more.

The hpg you saw normally has a plastic cover but it is meant to be in the display to protect the fish from getting burned. You can remove the plastic cover and are left with what you see now.
