Hello everyone so i recently moved tanks and during the move the kole was extremely stressed but other than that no new additions or changes to my normal setup and i noticed his tail fin and also dorsal starting to disappear. I have no tank inhabitants that would nip but i was also thinking maybe a crab? Heres a couple pics hes extremely shy so ill try hard to get better ones if needed.

Looks to be a bacterial infection but the photos are difficult to diagnose. If it is bacterial in nature, you may likely need to isolate him and treat with broad-spectrum antibiotics in a QT with something like Maracyn Plus. You need to treat bacterial infections in a QT as treating in the DT will kill off your beneficial bacteria. Better photos would sure help.

Heres a couple more photos, and thats a bummer i currently have no tank to use as a qt i switched my normal salt qt over to a freshwater qt for the time being, is there nothing i can do maybe feeding some selcon and other vitamins?

If you have a five gallon bucket you have a QT. A little creativity and some research, water changes and a simple air driven pump...

Ok well that would work but i actually moved my fresh into their dt yesterday its been 3 weeks of pretreatment with no symptoms i put them in just because ill switch it over to salt now, Ill have to pick up some maracyn plus how long does te treatment need to go on for?

All suspected bacterial infections should be treated immediately. Follow dosage directions as detailed on the product packaging. Add the contents of one package per 10 gallons of water and repeat every 24 hours for 5 days. Repeat this 5-day treatment only once if needed. It appears the name has changed to Maracyn 2
