Fire Shrimp ate my Nassarius!

Assuming its somewhat normal but the little red bugger ate my most active snail!! On a side note I think thats what was causing my Ammonia to rise...

Hopefully this was just an act of opportunity and he wont go on a murder spree?

I’ve got my fire in with stomatella snails (basically slugs) and I’ve never seen/noticed him kill any. I do make absolutely sure he gets fed though!

I think he may have been hungry since he was new and the snail had gotten stuck upside down...I doubt the clowns or goby would have eaten him...

My shrimps never touched my snails. Though I suspect the snail may have been on its way out? Shrimp tend to be the first one to arrive the scene if there is any dead, or soon to be dead critter in the tank.

I've had my fire shrimp eat many I repeat many snails... just have to feed it well and it won't touch them...

Whenever I get my CuC order in, my Skunk Cleaner Shrimp usually pick off a snail or hermit that is adjusting poorly. I've seen my Skunks rip a disoriented hermit right out of his shell.

I got a CuC order in today that was 75% deceased due to a long shipping delay, and I'm sure the Skunks are prodding the survivors for weakness tonight...
