I got a fire shrimp Thursday and never see it through out the day. But when I shine light in the at night I see him. Will he ever come out during the day. I added a new long tentacle nem a few days ago that night once lights went off he was on the foot of it. This morning I seen where it had shed

I’ve yet to see it eat or anything guess it’s getting stuff under the rocks and etc

Ive had one for 2 years. During feeding it will sometimes be aggressive and come out and try to get some food, otherwise its always hiding during the day.

They are a nocturnal shrimp. It may get used to feeding time and become comfortable enough that it feels safe to venture out in the open or it may not. I have a coral banded shrimp that I have never seen in three months during the day. It's disappointing but its normal.

So they clean the fish at night while they sleep I guess

Ours tends to hang out under an overhang in my tank. He's molted twice now freaking me out assuming he's dead..than he appears as usual
