Came home a few weeks ago to a burning smell and smoke in my house. Found one of the 2 Euroquatics E5 Blue Pop bulbs had caught fire and it's plastic envelope had melted and welded to the inside of my fixture splash shield. The reflector above it is blackened. I contacted them by an email address and then there online form to no avail. They did not respond until I sent a FB message. I wanted my money back for both of my E5 lamps, as I would not trust there product again and also asked for $300 for my damaged 6 lamp Aquaticlife fixture and all they would do is refund the lamp cost. I also offered to send them, at there shipping expense the fixture and lamps in case they wanted to proactively investigate it, they did not. I have had my 75 gal reef going since 2004 but due to my age and related health issues I am going to probably part it out or just get an Edge or Orbit led fixture as all I have are soft corals. They also stated that they refunded directly to me as they no longer have a relationship with MD where I originally purchased there lamps.

While unfortunate, I'm glad it didn't end as badly as it could have!

Thanks for the report! I'm glad you got it and anything more tragic happened.
I never tried those bulbs because I don't think they are actually better than any of the T5s anyway! It's a waste of space to use them IMO!
I would get an ATI Sunpower to replace the one you have and some new bulbs to a happy end. Your soft corals would love.
Out of trouble with adaptation and no chances of loosing anything because you would replace T5s with T5s.
Just keep in mind that The ATI Sunpower has a much better reflector, therefore you'll actually have to do a small adaptation!
Grandis.
