Weirdest thing happened. I brought home a pistol shrimp and immediately he got to work burrowing..what I expected. Then I woke up to find this 2-3 days later...

lol, that is some funny stuff man. why would you buy a pistol without a goby? just asking , not bashing. lol. i am sure if you put a goby in , your firefish would be back to normal. that is truely funny though. i like it.

That's funny! The shrimp is doing all the work. The fire fish isn't keeping watch! Slacker

That's neat!! I've never seen that before! Thanks for sharing.

Bro my tiger pistol and my fire fish paired up also!!!!!! I was just looking online and seen this post on google, I’m glad I’m not the only one with an odd pair up

Mine has done this aswell and I had a pink spotted goby before the purple fire fish

My WYG died a few months back. Ordered another a few weeks ago along with a Purple Firefish. The firefish came in last week and went into the cave/rock that the pistol was in. Today the YW came in. I moved the rock out of the tank for an hour or so hoping the ff would not go back into that same rock. (it didn't) The ff was out in the open the entire time and the pistol started digging a new home. I released the YW figuring it may take a week for them to find each other. Well, it found my Red Head goby and they are now side by side in a hole. I looked under the tank to check out where the pistol was and I see the ff in a tunnel with the pistol.
