Firefish diet

I started feeding mine frozen brine shrimp, then frozen mysis, and once they get comfortable flakes too :)

It's not unisa
yesterday i got my firefish i dropped dried mysis shrimp and flakes in but he didn't eat will he eat off of the top? and can i feed him frozen brine shrimp?
It's not unusual for a new addition to refuse feeding on the first day or 2. I wouldn't be worried yet. Keep us posted.

If you have the ability to pick up a small portion of live brine shrimp, it's not a bad idea. That's hard to resist even for shy fish. Just be sure that you give your filter media a good rinse after you feed. High protein feeds can stink up your chemistry pretty quickly.
ok i'll try the frozen first but if he doesn't eat i'll look into that

Don't stress. The fish can sense your fear! Lol That's probably not true, but I think you're going to be fine. Believe it or not I once had a purple firefish disappear for 3 months.. One day my wife's like "Did you buy another fish?!" I was like what? Lol Sure enough little homie was out and cruising the tank fat and happy. I still think he swam into a time portal or something lol. My wife still thinks I was lying about buying it!
