As I was feeding the fish today my purple firefish released a mouthful of tiny (pod sized) babies into the tank. So, I shut the return and powerheads off, grabbed a jar, and quickly grabbed as many as I could. They were all at the top off the tank which helped. I got what I think was about 2 dozen. Im sure many were quickly devowered by the critters. I put an air stone with just a small trickle in the jar, poked a few holes in the top and have them held in a container on the inside of the tank. I added Benepets powdered food and a drop of phyto for food. Now, I am thinking I need a mesh breeder to house them. Or, should I put them into my quarantine thats full of pods and never had medication introduced as I only had corals in there thus far. Any thoughts? Should I even attempt this? Heres a photo which is almost useless as they are so tiny and jittery [emoji4]

That is super neat! You must be doing a great job with the care and husbandry of your tank as having babies like that is the pinnacle of saltwater fish keeping. I'm no expert, but it sounds like your QT setup with all the pods will be the best chance for them to get enough food to eat without fear of predation. There may be some online sources to order the micro foods they will need to start with.

That’s awesome! I think you’re starting it off correctly by removing them. Can you get some rotifers? That’s probably what they can eat.

I am really shocked by this actually! My tank is only about 5-6 months old and I have had the 2 firefish for about 3 months. Theres been so much to learn and apparently more to learn very quickly! [emoji1]
