Hey guys, she was out and about swimming today morning, iv had her since 6months. Just a week ago i added a yellow white belly 4spot wrasse and 2 days ago i added 2 azure damsels 1.5". Never saw them fight. Is it possible its just hiding (never happened before) or just stuck somewhere or dead? Iv checked my overflow, also my top is covered. Plz help.

Don't know about the wrasse, but damsels are aggressive. They could have scared it into the rocks, or it jumped.

Too much activity or disruption can cause them to stay in their bolt hole. Give it a few days and it will be out.

when i added a one spot foxface my firefish went into permanent hiding in a frag station. It used to be where it slept... but now it's in there almost 24/7. I squirt food in there it must be eating since it's still alive. So yes, it could be freaked out and hiding somewhere you cant see... or, its been killed and the CUC took care of it. They are apparently very very skittish.

They will borrow or hide in the LR when threatened.

But it was out till morning. And damsels have been since 2days.. :(

My purple firefish did that recently. Something spooked him and he was hiding for couple of days. I kept looking for it where he used to sleep. But it wasn't there. Found out, he changed address, and moved to a different house. Never bothered to notify me.

Top is covered, i checked everywhere.
I thought the same to and a week later while cleaning another part of the room I found Mr. crispy on the floor, ~10 feet away from the tank. Don't underestimate their ability to jump in a split second, and jump far.

It could have disappeared (died) for whatever reason, who knows, it happens. Just a few weeks ago I lost my Banggai Cardinalfish, Blue Hippo Tang, & Lyretail Anthias. No clue on why.

My house is small, and my tank has no bottom sump. Has a side sump. Can azures kill it?

That many losses in a short period of time certainly points to a disease.

In the op's case, just give it some time. I've kept azures and wrasses with firefish without issue.

Any new additions to my tank would get mine to hide also. I added a CBB back in the spring and my Firefish hides most of the time now, coming out to eat and to look around for a few minutes now and then.

I looked for it alot, couldnt find her

Hey guys it just came out... But never did this before, what can be the reason for it to hide? The only food that got it out was dr. Bassleers flakes. Last night i fed every dam food i had, but it dint come out.
