I purchased a Firefish yesterday, acclimated him, and released him into my 13 gallon reef containing a very small Ocellaris Clownfish, small Wheelers Shrimp Goby, a Fire Shrimp, Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab, and Astrea Snails. When I turned on the lights this morning, I noticed that the Firefish had his back fins nipped overnight! Who could have bitten him? The Goby is shy, but got used to the Firefish quickly. I even saw them sharing a cave/burrow. The clown is very curious, but never caused any problems. Can I crab nip at the fins when the Firefish is headfirst in the rock? And can they get their fins caught on the rock? Thanks

Attached a photo. Doesn't look too bad, but it's definitely noticeable in person. Any way I can get them to grow back faster?

My guess would be the clownfish.. If there's not a lot of hiding spots in the tank I could see how things could get a little testy at night when they're jockeying for position.
