My firefish has fine clear hair like filaments on its body. Eating normal and swimming normal. First notice 2 days ago. Started with a couple on its chin. Now has some on its side and the top of its head like it has hair. Thanks in advance

What other fish do you have? Does it look like skin peeling or literally “spikes” coming out? Any bullying? Is the fish eating, any flashing?

In pics it looks like skin peeling/sloughing which would indicate brook but could also be something fungal.

2 clowns and a goby . Looks like peach fuzz hair. He is eating great and acting normal. No flashing or rubbing on anything. All is normal except those spikes. They really look like little baby hair sprouting out. I read somewhere on a very old post that it could be a run in with a bristle worm.

Could be a couple of things that come to mind. Bristle worms or anchor worms. If anchor worms, look for a small forked tail. Remove these with a tweezer. Probably bristle worms, though. If so they can also be removed with tweezer or just let them fall off. Just watch for an infection caused by the insertion points.
