Hi all, i've added a couple of weeks ago one firefish to the tank.

It does not come out of his hiding hole since then. It does comes out when i feed to grab some food (it does eat normally) and then it goes back.

Is it normal? They normally live in visible part of display or they normally hide all the time?

Firefish are babies. Mine hid for a week and would after that periodically hide for days at a time. They eat very little and can survive for quite awhile without gorging themselves. Give it a week before getting worried and let it settle in

It's a couple of weeks already. It comes out to eat daily and then straight back.

What other fish do you have apparently my reading comprehension is terrible haha sorry about that.

They hide a lot if there's any activity at all a lot at least for a few months. I interpreted as never saw at all. If it's eating nothing to worry about and that's pretty normal for the species especially for a few months or with a couple boisterous fish in the tank

Is a nano, just got 1 okinawae 2 young clown and a young amboniensis. That's all.

Shy fish, only time will tell.
They hide.
Not unusual at all.
Should ease a bit.

I was getting worried too. I asked basically same question because I didn't see this thread earlier.
