I got a firefish 2 days ago. Ever since, he's been hiding and i cant find him. I thought about overfeeding and changing a lot of water so that wherever he is he'll find some food. Should i just leave him be, overfeed or change the rockscape. And ge has'nt jumped out either. Need help.

I would leave him be for a couple day upto a week. He just got introduced into a new environment and with firefish being known to hide they will hide in small caves and crevices. Just feed like you normally do and just do different food to see if it will come out.

If you dont see him in a couple days I would start to look for him more and test your water to make sure it is still alive.

Alright, thanks for the help. Just to be sure though, im giving him a day max.
And for now I would just make sure you can see him and he comes out in the next few day. Do you have any other fish in with him? I feel like when I add fish, tank with a fish swimming around constantly helps more timid fish come out.

And as for feeding, I have a sissortail goby which is very similar to a firefish and it didnt eat for the first week and a half. I thats not something you need to worry about just yet.

I would just leave it alone. They are very timid fish, they are known to hide, it will come out when it feels safe and comfortable. Just keep on your normal habits so it gets used to your routine, and don’t go digging around the tank for him, you will just freak him out more. Basically, (I know it sounds silly) you have to gain their trust.
