New firefish out of QT developed these white spots over night last night. They look to me like injuries rather than anything parasite related, but would love to hear some thoughts on what you guys think it might be. The look raised, which is why I think they look like surface injuries. Only other livestock in the tank is a pair of clowns, hermit, snails and a cleaner shrimp.

keep an eye on these spots to see if they increase or decrease over the next day or two as they are good at picking up sand that gets stuck to their body

Will do, he's swimming around just as he always has so it doesn't seem to have affected him in any significant way.

You just need to keep a close eye on this, could be sand, but could also be the start of marine ich. If the spots come and go, but generally increase in number, that is more likely ich.

Every day it looks like the “swelling” is going down on the lesions. My guess at this point is probably an injury from the rock work or something. No sign of anything on the clowns, so looking good so far.

Doesn’t look like an injury.
An ick spot, sure, maybe, maybe sand partical.
But I see only one dot. It could be nothing at all.
But time will tell.
If that’s a parasite, they will come back in numbers.
