Hello, I’m planning to add a firefish to my 20 gallon and I’m a bit worried about this gap that the lid doesn’t cover. Some space is necessary for the wires, light, and filter, but how can I ensure the fish doesn’t jump through here? Any ideas?

Thanks!!

You could get a piece of that knitting mesh and cut it to size and bend a 90° angle and just tape it on the back.. I’m trying to think real world here haha! Me personally I would make a custom lid that fits everything but not everyone has those means… or if you’re handy make yourself a mesh lid with a window screen frame that fits everything and lose your glass top for better o2 exchange and a healthier tank all around.

I used this method, the plastic bends and keeps its shape pretty well. I was able to sort of hook it around a light fixture in another tank that needed a little area protected from carpetsurfers
