Firefish still flashing

Thread says it all. Firefish still flashing in a 10 gallon Qt. I first assumed it was ick and treated for 30 days with coppersafe at a dose of 15ml in a 10 gallon aquarium which got me right around 2.0 ppm. Removed the copper 2 days ago and the fish started flashing again. Doing a round of prazi now in case its flukes but what gives here?

Any spots or other symptoms? Did you use a test kit to measure copper during treatment? There have been some issues with dosing. See this by @HotRocks - https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/c...instruments-high-range-copper-checker.368943/

Is the flashing non stop or occasional? What are your params? Sometimes flashing can be due to a water quality issue.

I just read this and am totally freaked out now. I have 4 qt tanks up and running and dosed based on instructions online. I can never tell whats going on with the color cards so just assumed that orange color was closer to 2.0. Did I overdose the fish? Juat ordered a Hannah checker.

The flashing is occasional. Parameters seem okay for a QT. Trates are 30 but ammonia and nitrite are 0. There is a neon goby in there as well that is doing the frequent yawning.

yawning is usually sign of flukes. a 5 min fresh water dip usually confirms it, but not sure it anything will show up now that you have treated with prazi. make sure to do a second treatment within 5-7 days. sometimes a third might be required as well.
I'm just not sure why they weren't flashing while in copper and they are now if in fact it is flukes. maybe some of the experts can chime in.

Looks like I need to bail on the prazi treatment. The Firefish hasnt been out since Monday night which is when I dosed the Prazi. Have had this happen before and it usually doesnt turn out well. Its still alive and hiding. I think im going to go the hypo route now. Not sure what else to do. Got a polyfilter in to pull out the prazi. Hopefully the hypo will work on the flukes and ich if it somehow survived the copper treatmant.

Hey @Huskymaniac , what ever happened to your firefish. Mine seems to flash as well. Can't figure out why.
