Firefish has something on his tail which makes it hard to swim. Otherwise he eats and tries to swim. Any idea?

This is a bite or injury that has developed into a secondary bacterial infection. Treatment will be needed in a separate quarantine tank using either seachem Kanaplex or Fritz maracyn 2
What are tankmates do you have and are you giving fish places to hide?

I have a Bristletooth tang, Royal gramma, and Mandarin. Noone really bothers each other. He sleeps in a odd location (against the front of the glass on the sandbed).
