Firefish

I want some firefish anyone have luck with them with no lid?
I've had a firefish my entire reefing career. Never used a lid. Not to say they cant or wont jump, I've just been lucky that mine hasn't.

I've had the opposite experience from @Crabs Mcjones. I have had all my firefish jump that did not have a very tight fitting lid.

Was thinking 2 of them or maybe 3. Had a midas blenny jump but picked him up and put him back in never jumped again. My 6 line did and died wasn't home . Bummer

We actually just lost one last week 2 hours new and jumped out the tank had my screen nudged just enough fo it to jump through was to late when I noticed

Generally speaking, firefish cannot be kept together long term. Other dartfish, however, can be kept in groups.

Anthias then firefish are probably not the best if they are jumping from people's aquariums with screens seems they have a death wish.

Lost three fish in QT so far. One was a firefish who committed suicide. 5 days after I bought him.

Squeezed through a half inch gap in the lid.
