So,

I don't know where to post this but I think it may be the right place, today I was watching my aquarium when suddenly in the middle of some discosomas a sort of pink tentacle (it looked like some fireworm except that the tentacle didn't have any thorns and was pinky), so that tentacle suddenly came out and then it expelled some sort of orange liquid that suddenly made a huge cloud in my aquarium , I have a nano so it is easy to fill it with any sort of liquid anyway, The water is still all cloudy like if those were millions of eggs swimming in the aquarium.
(see picture)

What could this be?

Thanks

Where am I looking? (my eyesight isn't as sharp as it used to be)
I couldn't take a picture of the fireworm or whatever did this, I just could take a picture of the millions of eggs swimming now in the aquarium, see al those speckles in the picture? so actually my question is: are fireworms known for reproducing themselves in that way?

If it didn’t have the thorns/bristles of a fireworm, then it was almost certainly a different kind of worm. That said, there are a number of different marine worms that broadcast spawn like that, so that would be my assumption for what it is - I can’t find anything describing discosomas popping a tentacle out to spawn, and I feel that would likely have been mentioned by someone. Unfortunately, I can’t help ID the worm (partially because there’s no photo, but primarily because I’m just not a worm guy), but I’d say watch for any problems in your tank, and, if you don’t see, the worm is probably harmless.

Now, for anyone who cares to learn about fireworm mating habits, here’s a link to a page with information on it and a video of it taking place (fun fact, fireworms are known for their bioluminescence during mating, but that’s sadly not visible in the video as this seems to have taken place during the day):

Thanks so much for your input!
At the beginning I was thinking that this cloud was something he was using to defend himself and was thinking that it may harm the corals, but none of them seemed to be annoyed by it or shrank or anything. So my guess is that this sort of worm is just reproducing itself, and probably those eggs more than arm will be feeding several of the specied I have in my aquarium.

Thanks again
