Fireworm or bristle worm?

Im afraid I have a fireworm. Im hoping its just some other type of bristle worm but it scares me that it comes out when I feed.

It looks like a bristle to me. My bristles comes out when I feed also...

Yea i was trying to get to a better camera before it dove back into the rock. Its not very thick.

A bristleworm was my first thought too, but then i read if the worm comes out during feeding, it was probably a fireworm. Im relieved to hear other people have bristleworms come out during feedings.

I have worms just like that and they are just your normal bristle worms. Can't blame the guys for coming out when they smell food, heck I do the same thing when I smell something good in the kitchen. Hope no one confuses me for a fire worm .

Looks like a bristleworm, good member. It's perfectly normal for them to come out when feeding the tank.

Their definitely one of the creepier things that pop up in tanks but are a great part of the cuc.
