I thought I had an explosion of larger bristle worms, but now that I've caught a few, I'm wondering if they are really fireworms. Any suggestions on the proper id?

They've had a bit of a population explosion, and the larger ones are longer than my fish, so the quest to catch some of them has begun.

Clearly a bristle worm. Once you have seen a fireworm, there is no possible way to confuse the two. They are dramatically different. I've seen bristle worms easily over a foot long.

They are easy to catch. I removed 2 because of paranoia. Lured out with shrimp and grabbed with tongs or fish net.
They are big and can injure fish with their bristles. Im not telling you to keep them.
