Is this a fireworm or common bristleworm? Just snatched it out after it came out of a frag of mushrooms I got from LFS a few days ago.

What’s your delineation...
Amphinomidae, also known as the bristle worms or sea mice, are a family of marine polychaetes, many species of which bear chaetae mineralized with carbonate. The best-known amphinomids are the fireworms, which can cause great pain if their toxin-coated chaetae are touched or trodden on.

They only eat whats dead and dying. Ive never seen a bristle worm attack something healthy...fireworms are a different story...;)

Well I have had those things in my nano 8 gal biocube in the past when I first got into the hobby and some were very long. Over a foot and even the 4-6 inch ones would literally lasso snails and drag them back to the rock and kill and eat them. I had to get some arrow crabs to get rid of them as best I could
