as far as the first additions to my tank, Im a bit conflicted. should I first build up a population of copepods for food for my future inhabitants, or someone told me a shrimp....I am creating a mixed tank with easy to care for soft corals and maybe 4 or five fish ( all with specific purposes).
my 75 gallon tank is on the end of a 2nd week of cycling still and I am trying to get an idea of which direction to head first.
What did you reefers start with? a trial coral? a cycle fish? copepods & chaetoalgae?

It depends on what I'm trying to go for. Normally I'll start with a pair of clownfish and a couple beginner corals like zoas or a leather.
