So I just got this ORA Neon Birdsnest on Tuesday...and it seems my peppermint shrimp, good citizen for the last 10 months, has decided it's a tasty snack. Easier to move the frag in an emergency, so it was transferred to my nano this morning. Any suggestions on how to save this?

Time and TLC in the right water parameters is the best cure a lot of times for damage. If you notice that the skeleton is starting to attract algae or other nuisances you could take more drastic measures, but for now I'd let it heal up and watch it to see what happens.

Good news is that I didn't notice any further deterioration overnight since moving it to the nano. Fortunately algae isn't really a problem in this system (other than the odd bit of Ulva that pops up here and there). My biggest concern is that it's a softie tank so there isn't a lot of light. Although I suppose that's not a bad thing while the frag gets over the shock of being half eaten. So I'll let it be for a bit and if things take a turn we'll investigate further steps!
