First Aquarium, Lighting Advice?

Build quality is nice and for a 12 gallon you probably wont need the aditional blue strip.So like $90-100 bucks online.

The good ones are all built as strips of bulbs....ignore other designs such as grid layouts.

This might be the best example of your size – only 4 bulbs, or about $16 worth of parts:

You won't find a cheaper solution. But check out lots of others examples from that first link too. I've built three of these for my 36" tanks so far.

Well, I've added my first inhabitants. I have one clown, and two corals of some sort... Maybe you can help me identify them...

I found this old thread and thought I would share what that lighting did for that tank i had.I no longer have this tank but I do have to say it did quite well.And I have since downsized.
