ordered from Reefcleaners. Was supposed to be seeded with pods. Opened the box, and it was in a bag, no water, completely dry. Odd, I thought, but I don't know any better when it comes to chaeto.

Opened up the bag, and it felt like dried spaghetti noodles. Put it in the sump and it literally....literally disintegrated. Sank to the bottom, and just fell apart.

I just spent the past hour netting out the 1" pieces of "noodle" that was floating all over, and while I got 95% of them out, didn't get them all out of the display yet.

First, is chaeto supposed to sink?
Second, is it normal for it to completely break apart?
Third, is it supposed to be hard...like a dried noodle?

No it's not supposed to be hard or dry. I've had some shipped to me as well in a ziplock bag but it was still moist.

No, No & no.
1. Is there no reefers around you that you know?
2. You should not have to buy chaeto.
3. Reefcleaners has been around and has a good rep. Let them know and they should replace.

i let john know, and immediately got reimbursed. I have no problems with ReefCleaners.

I don't know anyone locally who has chaeto. I really don't know any reefers locally to be honest.

what's pacific east? and where is it? If it's not near Philly then no.

Too bad Im not closer, I've been trying to get rid of my overgrown chaeto for weeks and I feel bad throwing it out!

If you want to pay for shipping I'll send you some for free. I have to throw away huge handfuls of it every couple of weeks. Just PM me.
