Looks good for a first time!

What did u use silicone on? If its sealing any acrylic joints it wont stick long.

I used the acrylic cement on the nano and th after it dried i used silicone around the edges inside the nano. It should be water tight without the silicone but i was just wanted to be sure! before i drilled the community box it held water without any leaks fist time! the acrylic cement is something else man!

I'm curious why? I was of the impression the acrylic glue fused the two pieces together almost instantly, well within minutes.

Seems can still bust under pressure and if hes not done this a lot so he knows it wont bust then it needs to be tested

the acrylic cement is great stuff. If done right will be stronger that the actual acrylic. silicone and acrylic to not play well together. Silicone will not stick to acrylic long term. What you could have used is weldon 16. It is more like an acrylic caulking so to speak. But it should be fine.

While this is true, it still takes at least 48 hours for the bond to fully cure. The fixture time is a few mins. Any sumps or tanks I build I let sit for at least a week to be on the safe side.

Im gonna let it sit 48 hours then do a leak test to see if it needs to be fixed but should i wait a week?

Thats a trade secret, lol. No really you just need to use a good quality saw blade, i use a triple chip design blade. Thats the key. Then just sand it lightly.

yea i used a new saw blade and the used a router hooked up to a router table to get very fine edges but next time i will sand a little bit too! thanks man!
