First Clam in a long time - looks happy?

Recently got a good size maxima (I think?) and placed in my SPS tank. I had originally glued it down, but after some light reading I fixed that and will let the clam move if it’s not happy.

there is lots and lots of flow in the tank, lots of par (500+ at its current location),tank parameters are optimal for SPS.

just looking for some verification it looks happy and anything I should look out for, tips, or any other advice!

Looks good to me. For the record, never glue a clam. If you want some level of security of it's position you can build a cradle and glue the cradle down, but never glue/expoxy a clam directly.

Flow wise in an SPS tank what you want to watch for is if the flow is so strong it frequently folds the mantle back over, it's a problem and you'll want to consider adjustments. You generally just don't want very strong direct flow onto the clam. Otherwise as long as the clam is free to adjust it's positioning it should manage fine.

Thanks for the info on flow, it does flap around a little bit, but once fully open seems to be happy. I'll keep an eye on it.

He looks good. Keep track of the shell, you will see new growth, which is white edge. If you see this, then he is fine.
